HYPERLINKED PROTOCOL FOR THE SMART PHONE The protocol is now available in hyperlinked form for computer, laptop, pad or smart phone. It is in .PDF format and may be downloaded HERE. Any page of the protocol is accessible by 2 clicks from the front table of contents page. Drugs are also hyperlinked to the pharmacology page for indications / contraindications, etc. If there is a wrong hyperlink or missing one, please email the secretary with that info. UPDATE FOR HYPOTHERMIC POST ARREST PROTOCOL At the 11/30/11 board meeting a protocol for hypothermic treatment of the post cardiac arrest pt after ROSC was re-defined and approved for inclusion in our protocol. This page (click the blue link) WAS UPDATED AT THIS BOARD MEETING. Discard the page that was posted after the 9/28 or 10/26 meeting and replace it with this one after page IV-2 in the protocol. This includes a new cover page for the 2012 protocol. THE MOST RECENT VERSION OF THE PROTOCOL IS 2012a approved 11/30/11 (The full protocol below includes the addition of page IV-2-b) This is the latest version of the protocol. As of November 30, 2011, the newest version of the protocol is version v2012a that says approved November 30, 2012. If your squad does not have a copy of this latest protocol, download either the v2012a hypothermic changes from version 2010b and insert the appropriate pages, or download the entire version 2012a protocol below. There should be a copy of the protocol in each squad. There are only 2 page changes to the 2012a protocol - hypothermic tx of the post full arrest pt and the 2012a cover page. Please review all changes with all EMS personnel in your department. The protocol is a living document and is subject to changes. Administrative changes take place at the beginning of each year. Any additional drugs necessary are added both at the beginning of the year and in June. The board has also included a way for the protocol to be changed other than January and July if neccesary.
